Although many of the songs DioGuardi writes are geared towards the teen pop market, she has a lifetime of romantic ups and downs to draw from: “I look at my life and write from the perspective of finding truth that people of all ages can relate to.

After alternating between these two tracks its amazing that DioGuardi is able to make her voice chameleon-like, something many vocalists are afraid to do but something that she should be commended for.
Kara's vocal is again the main treat of the song with lyrics that.
Sounding like it could be a Faith Hill outtake, Kara really gets to showcase her good vocals and I have a feeling that this one'll be released as a single when it undoubtedly is released on the proper 'modern' release in early 2007.

Because of the low ratings, the fact that the show was cancelled was no surprise, but DioGuardi says the show's contestants, whom she formed close relationships with, were literally left in the dark.
Though DioGuardi's career didn't rely on the show's success (she's currently promoting Platinum Weird, her new project with Eurythmics' Dave Stewart), she knows The One's contestants aren't as lucky.

DioGuardi does make an attempt to write outside of her usual style, but she's not trying to recapture the '70s at all.
In the end, Stewart comes off as an incredibly bland eccentric for claiming this is more mysterious and wild than it is, while DioGuardi steals the show with her inspired performance.

Get Ready to ROCK! Review of CD album by rock band Platinum Weird called Make Believe featuring Eurythmics guitarist ...
Platinum Weird is a musical collaboration formed in 2004 between Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi.
The PR behind this release would have you believe that having got together in 2004, Dave and Kara discovered a connection that led Dave to unearthing these unreleased 1974 recordings that he'd laid down with Kara's mentor Erin Grace in the band Platinum Weird for Elton John's Rocket label.
The truth is that when they got together in 2004 to write for Pussycat Dolls, Dave and Kara found that what was flowing was classic 1970's soft rock of the sort purveyed so successfully by Fleetwood Mac at the time of Rumours.
